VRM Physics Enhancer
A downloadable blender add-on
A simple blender add-on to automatically add a few collider shapes / groups that will collide with the hair of the VRM model.
Requires the VRM Add-on for Blender. This add-on only supports VRM 1.0 models, and more specifically, VRoid Studio models.
Usage
With any VRM 1.0 model from VRoid Studio, open the side panel by pressing N in the 3D Space, and find the VRM Physics Enhancer tab.
Each option will add colliders to the model of the scene:
- Breasts: Adds colliders to the left and right breast.
- You'll need to manually adjust the size and position depending on your model's 'plot importance'. Follow the instructions under the button to find the parameters in the VRM Add-on.
- Long Hair Body Penetration Prevention: A collider that attempts to make long hair not penetrate the body from behind. It's not too good, but it's worth exporting with and without this collider and see the results.
- Arm/Hands: Creates an additional set of colliders for the arms and hands to be able to move hair around more naturally. Again, not too effective.
This modifies directly the model, so it should work when you re-export the model as a VRM model. You can use the new model in software like VRM Posing Desktop or game engines with dynamic VRM physics like RPG Developer Bakin, Unity, Godot, Unreal, etc, assuming you import VRM models and not FBX models.
